Riri

Based in Mendrisio (CH) and with three production facilities in Italy, Riri is a leading manufacturer of high-quality zippers and buttons to be applied in both leather goods and apparel. Riri key customer is the global luxury fashion industry.

Throughout the years, Riri has managed to build a unique positioning by leveraging its Swiss-made reliability, Italian design and high service level in terms of lead times, customization and innovation. Riri has today become the partner of choice for some of the most important luxury firms across the globe, while maintaining a wide customer base of niche, raising-stars brands.

Value creation

Chequers supported management into its one-stop shop strategy for luxury brands through 2 acquisitions, enabling the Group to propose a complete offer of accessories for luxury clients (metal parts, zips, buttons, jewels, etc.). The Group positioning was also strengthened thanks to an effort made in the development of new materials and techniques (nickel free, MiM) as well as the vertical internalization of certain critical steps, to further increase quality offered to customers. Riri was sold to the Swiss Group Oerlikon in February 2023.
